Part #11, PRAYER OF CONSECRATION.
Consecrate (df.) To Bless, To Sanctify, To Hallow; To Seal, To Dedicate, and to Devote.
During Resurrection Season, it is a Wonderful Time to consecrate oneself to God through Christ Jesus. Prayer of Consecration can be found in the Old Testament and the New Testament.
We desire for Father God to Bless us , to Sanctify (Set Us Apart from the world), to Hallow us(Make us Holy and Righteous) to Father God through Jesus. We are able to be Sealed by the Blood of Christ Jesus that He shed on Calvary for us . We dedicate our Mind, Will and Emotions=Soul; our Spirit that comes from Him, and our Bodies (denying our flesh of things which are not of Father God.
Jesus shared with us in the Lord's Prayer, Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 6, 10, "Thy Kingdom Come. Thy Will Be Done in Earth, as it is in Heaven. " The Lord's Prayer is the Best Model of a Prayer of Consecration. We always follow the Pattern of Jesus, and as Jesus gave Himself, Devoted Himself to ABBA, Father so should we on a Daily Basis.
What needs to be Accomplished in the Prayer of Consecration:
1. Repent of our Sins, Trespasses, and Iniquities:
Sins missing the mark on our thoughts, words, and actions of God's
Commandments. Trespasses are sins against others, and Iniquities are
our inward sins that we struggle with.
2. Reflection of our Behavior on a Daily Basis:
Are we living up to God's Standard for us through Christ Jesus? Are we listening
the Holy Spirit for Guidance and Instruction on the regular.
3 Removal of All Forms which lead to Sin:
What is keeping us from being totally Dedicated to Father God? It may be an item,
an activity, a person, or a place that needs to be removed, and Deliverance through
Christ Jesus sought after.
4. Relentless in Pursuit of Being Close and Closer to God: The Book of James states the following:
Jas 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Jas 4:5
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Jas 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Jas 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Jas 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Jas 4:9
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Jas 4:10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Jas 4:11
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
5. Reminder to Stay Focused and Committed to Father, God at All Costs: Prayer of Consecration makes sure that we Stay Aligned to Fathers God because we love Him, and desire to be in Good Standing with Him through Jesus and the Holy Spirit now and always!
